About

Every year, approximately 1.4 million Americans die due to gun violence.  In 2017, our city, Philadelphia, reported a five year high of 315 homicides.  253 of these victims were African American, leaving only 62 murders of other races combined. Sadly, 97% percent of these African American victims were murdered by other African Americans. With the skyrocketing murder rates, the city that was once known for its brotherly love is distinctly becoming the “City of Brotherly Hate.”
